Friday Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of free market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through free market perspective. Article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program. The program is organized at the venue of Hotel Namaskar, Biratnagar on every alternative Friday (twice a month).
On 24th June members of ‘Friday Discussion’ got together to discuss about the Article “ Sound Money,”. During discussion the participants enthusiastically debated and had different opinion regarding the sound money. Money is one of the greatest inventions of the human mind. It was not invented by the State. Money was evolved naturally to solve the problem of barter system. Sound money is very much important for any country to control its inflation. Inflation is the fall in the value of money due to increases in its quantity. The session resulted to be interactive and informative. Some of the participant argued that due to the greed of the human nature there is distortion in the share market and causes effects in economy. There is huge credit gap between big dealers and small credit retail entrepreneurs. It is important to the government for the stability of the money.
The event was held on 24 June, 2016, 10th Ashad, 2073 pm onward. Program saw 12 people on discussion and was moderated by Basanta Adhikari .Program ended at 5:45 pm.
