Friday Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of free market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through free market perspective. Article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program.  The program is organized at the venue of Hotel Namaskar, Biratnagar on every alternative Friday (twice a month).

On this series, discussion was made on the Article of “Welfare State”, where 11 numbers of participants took part to discuss their views. It was hot and live discussion where participants discussed on the advantage and disadvantage of State welfare. As we all know that welfare state main purpose is to create greater economic equality, or to ensure at least a certain minimum standard of living of the citizens. During the discussion, most of the friend seems to support the welfare state system, giving account to the situation of the unprivileged Nepalese citizens. Their argument was that, there should be welfare system to empower these citizens economic status. In opposition of the state system some argued that in the name of the welfare state we cannot feed the predator (the government). The government is not the solution of every problem, but it itself is a problem in many instance. Role of the state should be limited, and people should be allowed to pursue their own interest. The program was helpful to make clear that due to lack of strong institution people who are holding authorities are misusing taxpayers money in the name of the welfare state. The program was held on 20 February 2015, at 4:00 pm and Program was ended at 6:00 pm.A
