Liberty Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on contemporary issues (local or national) through open market perspective. The article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program.

Bikalpa, an Alternative, in collaboration with Student for Liberty organized Liberty Discussion session on 15th January 2022. The discussion for topic was titled on “HOW MARKETS WORK: THE ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP”. Around 20 participants attended the program. The program was organized on Aims Bakery Cafe.

During the panel discussion session, participants presented their thoughts and views regarding Entrepreneurship development and Market functionalities. The discussion floated from the present government scenario to price control and protectionism market. Participants shared their opinions on How the market doesn’t function in non-Economic free countries. They provided examples of private monopolies in certain areas due to which the market is distorted, and there is no entrepreneurial growth in the country.

Similarly, the discussion also highlighted the political and economic system for the country’s development. Participants argued there should be a conducive environment to flourish the market and entrepreneurship in any country. The discussion also focuses on how developing nations become prosperous through freely functioning market mechanisms. So, nations like us should concentrate on generating consistent policies to strengthen economic freedom.
