Liberty Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through open market perspective. The article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program. The program is organized at the venue of Bikalpa – an Alternative on every alternative Saturday (twice a month).
On, Saturday, 19 January 2019, regular participants gathered on the Bikalpa office for the regular formal Liberty Discussion. The discussion was titled in Article “Public enterprises vs private enterprises.”
It was a regular informal sitting discussion. The topic for the participants was not native to discuss but also discussion was revolved around the topic. While having discussion participants shared it is good philosophy and everybody agrees with it. But its meaning differs with the social context and society. As we talk it from our perspective, then at first we must know we are living in a collective society. We have a collective notion for the activity that we do in our society. Some of the participants also raised social about the social problem of the society for which they claimed that the government should solve it. On that contrary, some other argued that instead of it government should frame out such a policy through which their right would be secured. Although we are bound by our rules and regulation of the constitution of the country. It is a scapegoat for the many powerful people. Participants also argued on the ground that even though every individual is not aware of their rights as citizens. We should be aware and demands for it to the government.
Also in meanwhile discussion, everybody agreed on the Libertarian philosophy of voluntary exchange and exercising your own right and freedom with the respect for the right and freedom of the others. In this way only there will coexistence and peace in society. There were a total of 9 participants in the discussion.
