Bikalpa fellow members and first-year Bachelors of Social Work students from Mahendra Morang Adarsh Multiple College jointly conducted an Interaction program at Liberty Rehabilitation center Biratnagar on 15th of March 2021 from 12::30 pm to 2pm .
Mr Sunil Thapa ( Director of Liberty Nepal Rehabilitation center) started the session by welcoming all the participants and sharing his experience as a drug user and his struggles to overcome it. He also shared how his organization is giving service to underprivileged people who don’t have a good financial condition. He further
encouraged the participants to take leadership roles, raise their voice for contemporary issues, and work for the betterment of society.
Continuing the session Mr Bonish Bhattarai and Manjil Chaudhary also shared their experiences. They shared how they become victims of addiction. They told that drug is a habit problem due to which they have lost their family support, respect, love snd care. Now, The Rehabilitation center is helping them to overcome such bad habits of addiction. In concluding remarks, they shared After completing their treatment from here; they wanted to set a good example in society. It was an engaging session filled with key insights on how drug-addicts are perceived in our community and the harmful impact on our generation’s youth.
The session wrapped up with a series of questions by the attendees, all the speakers duly answered. 34 participant’s from diverse group participated in the program.
