Blood Donation Program organized by Bikalpa Fellowship Members

Bikalpa Fellowship members organized three blood donation programs. The program’s objective was to bring together and engage Bikalpa fellowship members to enhance their leadership capacity through various social initiatives. Also, this event was to encourage voluntary blood donations and create awareness about the importance of donating blood. The event witnessed active participation from various individuals, including Bikalpa Fellowship members, volunteers, and local community members.


Bikalpa fellowship group members planned to organize a Blood donation program during the regular monthly meeting. The group planned and strategized the events, identifying suitable locations for maximum outreach and participation. The chosen locations were Traffic Chowk, Rani Mills Area, and Bright Vision Law College in Biratnagar. The event was well-publicized through social media platforms, and word of mouth among all the members. Bikalpa Fellowship members also collaborated with various stakeholders, including the Red Cross Society and the District Traffic Office of Biratnagar. Their support and cooperation were instrumental in facilitating the events.


All the fellow members were also requested to bring their friends and colleagues to donate blood. During the event, 53 donors from diverse sectors participated in the blood donation program. The blood donation programs were conducted in public spaces to attract maximum participation. The Bikalpa Fellowship members and volunteers actively engaged with individuals, urging them to donate blood with the slogan “Give blood, Save Life.” Passersby were also approached and encouraged to contribute to this life-saving cause.

The program was facilitated by Bikalpa Fellowship Members and supported by Bikalpa an Alternative, Biratnagar Traffic Police, Red Cross Society Nepal, and individual donors. Local media of Biratnagar also covered the event.
