August 27 2015 – Every Last Thursday of Gregorian month, Bikalpa an Alternative jointly organize the “Last Thursday’s” event at Biratnagar in coordination with Hotel Namaskar, E4N and Makalu Television. Objective of the program is to disseminate the ideas and knowledge about entrepreneurship through the sharing of successful entrepreneurs. Also the program creates an opportunity to do networking and share ideas. On the episode of August, Entrepreneur Mr Rajendra Raut,Senior Vice President Morang Byapar Sangh Managing Director Raut Construction Pvt.Ltd, was invited as a guest speaker at the program.

The program made the first move with a introduction Session.Session. Basanta Adhikari, Director of Bikalpa an Alternative moderated the program welcoming the participants and guest speaker.For Rajendra Raut, It was his first hand experience and was thrilled to share his Story with Youth. He was born and raised in Kathmandu Valley. In 2041 BS he migrated to Biratnagar. He again went to Kathmandu and his parents suggested for starting a business. He started his entrepreneurial carrier with the establishment of The Manjushree Garment Factory and now his business is playing pivotal role in the private sector. He stated that Honesty is the only way to achieve the success in your business. You should have to pre-plan before doing any work and should have your own Principle. One of the most intriguing incidents of his life was when he started his second business Shangri-La garment factory with 140 workers.After the guest speaker concluded his deliberation speech, the floor was set open for interaction among the participants for an hour where Mr. Raut clarifies the participant’s queries.

The participants listened enthusiastically to tales of his early days. With this the program which had kicked off at 4:15 p.m came to an end. More than 130 participants from different colleges of Biratnagar participated in the open discussion that was held on 27th August at Merryland-International-BBA College.
