Liberty Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through open market perspective. The article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program. The program is organized at the venue of Bikalpa – an Alternative on every alternative Saturday (twice a month).

On, Saturday, 20 July, 2019 regular participants gathered on the Bikalpa office for the regular formal Liberty Discussion. The discussion was titled in Article “Human Betterment through Globalization”

During the discussion hour participant pointed out the betterment of Globalization to Human beings in the current era. Some of the participants opined that globalization has raised the living standards of many people. The transfer of technology, capital, and information among other things have helped poor to get out of poverty. Comparing to developed countries many developing nations are going on the path of development through globalization. Hence globalization has done more good than bad and hence should be promoted. Commenting on it some articulated that Globalization can be a threat to the third world countries national economies where there is poor governance system. The crony could emerge here and the market could be destroyed. Citizens should be concerned about these things so that the rule should be maintained and the market can easily function in the globalized era. Participants also raised points on there is a need for balance and careful policing to make globalization more effective, especially in developing and emerging economies.
