April 28 2016 Every Last Thursday of Gregorian month, Bikalpa an Alternative jointly organize the “Last Thursday’s” event at Biratnagar in coordination with Hotel Namaskar, E4N and Makalu Television. Objective of the program is to disseminate the ideas and knowledge about entrepreneurship through the sharing of successful entrepreneurs. Also the program creates an opportunity to do networking and share ideas.
On the episode of April, Entrepreneur Mr Tara Nath Niraula , Managing Director of Birat Health Food Pvt .Ltd, was invited as a guest speaker at the program.
The program started with moderator Basanta Adhikari, Bikalpa an Alternative Director addressing the audience followed by a welcome note by M.S Rima Shrestha.l, Director of Hotel Namaskar. She introduced everyone about the program and shared the objective of program.
During an hourly event the Speaker shared his life journey about his work. At first he elaborated on the basic tenets of success that he had learned during his career in his civil service.He said if he had not failed in his SLC he would not be standing here. After completing his Bachelor degree in Science and Technology in 1st division. He started his career from being a teacher. He had taught at Central Campus of Technology, Hattisar,Dharan and from 2045 to 2051 he went to Hetauda and taught in Makwanpur Campus. Mr Niraula had also worked in civil service in Nepal Government. From 2051 to 2057 he had worked as Advisor in Hetauda Municipality for Sustainable Development Program. He also shared that Human brain is very important for development of anything. For any Social development it is important to invest in child because they are the future of this country. He had also visited to foreign land during his service period from where he gained knowledge about Sustainable Development and had b implemented it for the policy change.
After taking his retirement from Civil Service Job .He is now Managing Director of Birat Health Food and Product Private and Limited. Which is dedicated in Producing organic food item for consumers. Everyone was interested in listening his tales of story. After the guest Speaker concluded his deliberation speech . The audience responded enthusiastically to the speakers and engaged in a dynamic question and answer session. The participants cleverly picked up questions relating to his Story and Mr Niraula briefly responded to each of the questions asked based on his years of experience on the field. By the end everyone looked engaged and was giving their undivided attention to the Guest Speaker.
After the open discussion, program was formally ended at 5::00 pm for tea, snacks and informal networking. The event was hosted at the Hotel Namaskar who graciously donated their space to us for this event and total 66 numbers of participants took part in the program.
