Last Thursdays with Mukesh Upadhayay Bhattarai

Every Last Thursday of Gregorian month, Bikalpa – an Alternative jointly organize the “Last Thursday’s” event at Biratnagar in collaboration with Hotel Namaskar, Makalu Television and Merryland College (BBA) Biratnagar.   Objective of the program is to disseminate the ideas and knowledge about entrepreneurship through the personal sharing of successful entrepreneurs. Also the program creates an opportunity to do networking and share ideas among the participants.

On 30th Nov 2017, Entrepreneur Mukesh Upadhayay Bhattarai joined us for the 41st series of ‘Last Thursdays’ at Hotel Namaskar  for a discussion on the existing scenario of industry in the Biratnagar with over more than 60 people.

The program started with moderator Basanta Adhikari, addressing the audience. He introduced everyone about the program and shared the objective of program.

Hailing from Biratnagar Mr Mukesh Upadhaya Bhattarai was the guest for the Guest speaker of the program. During his speech he highlighted about his story and entrepreneurial journey. After completing his schooling he joined college in Biratnagar. In his early day of college he was involved in student politics. Due to political insurgency in college he decided to pursue his higher studies from Banaras, India. He completed his graduation from there. After college he returned to Biratnagar. At that moment of time in his family everybody was involved in job. So, everyone from my house tell him to do job. So, he joined as Accountant in Nepal Irrigation office in Sunsari. While working he was not happy with his job.

His entrepreneurial journey started from being a contractor. Today he had established three company which is running successfully. He also added that youth should not think as job seeker but have to think in entrepreneurial way. His message to youth was, there are many opportunities inside our country. So, instead of going abroad we should think in creating opportunities in our country. Since, Youth are the future of society. So, it’s time for educated youth to come forward in the politics and take a lead in changing in policy and country.
