Friday Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of free market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through free market perspective. Article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program. The program is organized at the venue of Hotel Namaskar, Biratnagar on every alternative Friday (twice a month).

On this series, discussion was made on the Article of “Individual’s rights and responsibilities of his/ her in the society”, where 16 numbers of participants took part to discuss their views. It was hot and live discussion where participants discussed on the Individual rights and responsibilities. As we know every individual have right to live his dignified life so as they respect equal right of others. Our society is in infant stage about the individual freedom and free society. Despite gaining political and civil liberties to some extent as a result of various political movements and revolutions and impact of globalization, Nepalese society hasn’t yet embraced the concept of respect for the rule of law and social and economic freedom. Rights and responsibilities are two sides of the same coin. We can’t have rights without accepting our responsibilities. As we know society is the collection of individual working together in voluntary cooperation for their mutual benefits. The one fundamental human right is the right to live your life as you choose so long as you don’t infringe on the equal rights of others. The protection of my rights entails my respecting the rights of others. Humans have rights before they enter into governments, which are created for the very purpose of protecting those rights. Many participants were in doubt and had argument regarding that most of our citizens are unprivileged of their basic rights and how could these be addressed by state. The program was held on 31th July 2015, at 5:00pm and Program was ended at 6:30 pm.
