Friday Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of free market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through free market perspective. Article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program. The program is organized at the venue of Hotel Namaskar, Biratnagar on every alternative Friday (twice a month).
On this series, discussion was made on the Article of “AID Vs Trade”, where 10 numbers of participants took part to discuss their views. It was hot and live discussion where participants discussed on AID and Trade and its impact in Nepal. The program was helpful to make clear about the positive and Negative Aspects of AID. As peter Bauer had said Aid “government –to –government transfers” and said that they went from the poor of developed world to the rich of the underdeveloped. So understanding from the economic point of view trade is only the way to be prosperous and create the wealth to the country. Trade will make us equal partner and there would be win- win situation for both the parties. While AID creates dependency to other developed country. Throughout the History the country who had depend on AID there economic GDP and GNP are still worse-off. During our discussion we came to the conclusion that the AID is important for the underdeveloped countries. The program was held on 5 june 2015, from 4:35 pm onward. Discussion was very helpful to understand on how trade benefits the developing countries like Nepal by entering into the global market. Program ended at 6:10 pm.
