About the Fellowship

Bikalpa fellowship is a knowledge-based capacity-building program where youth can enroll, benefit from networking, and participate in various discussions, training, workshops, and extracurricular activities on democratic values and accountability throughout year. Bikalpa wants to educate, empower and engage youths of Biratnagar Metropolitan City and help to develop their leadership capacity and knowledge on the values of Democracy, Governance and Accountability for the betterment of society beyond their textbook. Besides this, the enrolled youth will gain knowledge on civic engagement, internship, campaigning & volunteering opportunities, and a platform to enhance their capacity. The fellows will meet monthly through seminars, discussions, guest lectures, and planning sessions which will help to enhance their network, knowledge, and capacity.

Besides this, the monthly sessions will also help to enhance their communication, networking, negotiation, critical thinking, research, and running a successful advocacy campaign skills that will be helpful for their personal and professional growth.

Why is it Important?

Bikalpa will provide the following incentive to the shortlisted volunteer.

  • Internship opportunities for the selected ones to work closely with Bikalpa
  • Opportunity to participate in Bikalpa program activities.
  • Network, Knowledge, Skill, Exposures, Leadership, and Capacity building opportunities.
  • Letter of Recommendation and Certificate after the completion of the program.
