Management Systems of Program and Finance

BIKALPA has established Programme Support Unit (PSU) that manages the administration, HR, logistics and financial management within the organization. BIKALPA has developed documents on HRM Policy, Financial Policy and Internal Rules and that shape our financial disciplines. BIKALPA follows the Nepali fiscal year and practices the annual auditing.

BIKALPA  has internal control system, which is described as below

  • Three member internal audit committee coordinated by EC member, nominated by EC
  • Practice of internal audit at 3 months interval
  • Immediate follow up on action plan for improvement based on feedback provided by internal audit
  • Social Audit (once in a year)
  • External /stature audit

In order to manage programme effectively, the Programme Development Unit (PDU) is responsible for fundraising, networking and partnership with local NGOs and donor’s coordination and coordination with government stakeholders. The unit is also responsible for ensuring programme quality including monitoring and accountability across all of its programmes.


Chief of PSU, chief of PDU, Finance Manager/Coordinator and Programme Manager/Coordinator are the members of overall Programme Management Team, which is headed by the Director of BIKALPA.
